How to earn money from a link?
By activating 'Earn Mode' in the Customize Link menu, you can set visitors to pass through multiple verification pages (up to 10) before reaching the target URL. Each page displays a 15-second timer. In the future, these pages will integrate advertising banners, generating ad revenue for every verified impression.
How does Password Protection work?
When you set a Protected Key during link creation, the link becomes heavily encrypted. When a visitor clicks your X-Link, they are met with a secure lock screen. They cannot proceed, nor can they view the target URL in the code, until they input the exact case-sensitive key you provided them.
What is Smart Routing (Geo & Device)?
Smart Routing allows a single X-Link to send users to completely different destinations based on their physical location or hardware. For example, you can route users from India (IND) to an Amazon.in product, while sending users from the US to Amazon.com. Similarly, you can route Mobile users to an App Store link, and Desktop users to a standard website.
How to change the target URL after creating a link?
Every X-Link is dynamic. If you want to change where the link points, open your private Dashboard Link (provided when you created the link). Click the 'Edit' button next to the Target URL. Enter your new destination, and the X-Link will instantly redirect all new traffic there. A full history log of URL changes is preserved in your dashboard.
What are the best Use Cases for X-LINK?
1. Business: Creating trackable, dynamic QR codes for physical products that can be redirected later. 2. Traffic/Socials: Routing mobile users directly to apps. 3. Personal: Sharing sensitive files with 'Burn after 1 view' enabled to ensure maximum privacy.
Can I set a wait timer and note before reaching the target URL?
Absolutely. Under the 'Customize Link' tab, you can select a Wait Timer (3s, 5s, or 10s) and type a Creator Note. Visitors will see your custom message (e.g., 'Warning: Spoilers ahead') and must wait the specified time before the 'Continue' button activates.
What is a Custom Alias?
Instead of a random string of characters (like /2wv8Ai), you can choose 'Fun Mode' and type a Custom Alias. Your link will look professional and memorable, such as x-link.vercel.app/my-secret-project.
